How to Clear RRB PO and Clerk Exam – Tips and Strategy.
Hello, everyone, this is Ramani Roy and I belong from Patna. I have completed my school education from Patna and did my graduation from Orissa.
After graduation, I started to look for private jobs and after some research, I realized the private sector does not provide security/safety of the job and as a girl it is difficult to work shift wise. So, since then I switched to prepare for the government services.
My seniors adviced me that being a female, banking services are a viable service for me.
Banking exams are comprised of 4 sections:
- Maths
- Reasoning
- General Awareness
- English
I was good at mathematics and reasoning due to my graduation background. But English was not that adequate as banking exams demands and I wasn’t also not much good in the General Awareness section.
In starting I took some mentor guidance and was able to clear Prelims of all the exams, but due to GA section, couldn’t clear the Mains examination.
Maths:
I will assert you to first clear your concepts in maths. As we don’t have time to clear miscellaneous topics, we generally prefer doing DI section as it has all miscellaneous topics covered in it.
In prelims, questions of DI usually revolve around the tabular questions. But for the mains, questions of DI are based on time-work, profit-loss and other arithmetic topics. They are conceptual based questions and short trick won’t help much in them.
Clear your concepts and practice immensely. Give section wise test if you are not able to give the complete test in one shot.
Now coming to the Reasoning part:
If you don’t have sufficient time, you can give the sectional wise test for reasoning. Around 4 to 5 puzzles are asked, so you have to do 3 to 4 puzzles on a daily basis. Practice of doing the topics from reasoning on a daily basis. 20-25 marks of the puzzles are asked in pre-exams, even of more marks in the mains exam.
You can choose the strategy of doing two low-level puzzles and then doing two high-level puzzles in a day.
English:
I was average in English and my grammar was weak. I will advice, on not wasting much time on grammar section. Practice reading comprehension (RC’s) for mains and prelims.
General Awareness:
I used to watch videos of Gaurav Sir and for the revision I used to read the pdfs.
I came to know about pdf at Study IQ channel while searching online. It has videos which are good and well for the study. So, I followed them all-time.Pdfs of many topics are present on its website.
In SBI PO I had a good score in the GA section also.
But finally I was called for RRB Scale Officer 1 – Baroda UP Gramin bank.
Interview:
Be relaxed in an interview. Only your personality is assessed, your knowledge has already been in the exam.
They ask you about yourself and you are supposed to answer everything confidently.
Now for the coming IBPS exam:
Follow current affairs of the past six months, which are available on Study IQ website in the pdf form and comes in two parts.
Different pdfs are available like Banking awareness, books and author, obituaries and many more.
You can easily score 90% from those pdfs.
NIACL AO:
Increase your speed and accuracy.
The exam is in March , and if you follow these pdfs regularly, it will be very beneficial.
Banking aspirants now have a benefit as now Bank IQ, separate channel is available and is bilingual.
- It has English from Neerja Raheja Mam.
- Maths from Tarun Sir.
- Financial awareness from Prashant Mavani Sir.(especially for banking aspirants so you can follow this.)
Which will be very helpful in the coming exams.
All the best for IBPS clerk and NIACL exam in the coming time.
Thanks to Study IQ team and Gaurav Garg Sir.
