SBI PO 2020 Topper Interview – Strategy for SBI PO Exam by Shipra Katiyar
- Interviewer: Hello, welcome to Study IQ. Tell us something about your educational background?
Shipra: I went to Chitrakoot for my school education, graduated from Ramjas College, and did my post-graduation at NIT Durgapur.
- Interviewer: Why inclination towards the banking sector?
Shipra: As an aspirant of the government exams I also appeared for various exams in the banking sector.
I covered all the banking exams holistically. Recruiting process is fast in the banking sector that’s why I choose this sector.
- Interviewer: Tell us something about your preparatory journey.
Shipra: I followed the same strategy that everyone else does. One must find out what his/her strengths and weaknesses are and work on them accordingly.
- Interviewer: How can smart study be implemented, according to you?
Shipra: I had the privilege of coming from a decent background with Decent schooling, this helped me develop my language skills.
Even in Data Interpretation, tough language is used in Questions good command over language will help you tackle this section as well.
My weaknesses were reasoning and general knowledge, therefore I worked smartly and concentrated on those areas.
- Interviewer: What was your strategy for General awareness?
Shipra: For a series of daily current affairs, I followed Gaurav Garg sir for full coverage of current and static issues with no-nonsense coverage.
My gk was bad at first, but I was able to increase my score due to Gaurav sir’s assistance.
While addressing everyday current events, Sir would relate some static gk points as well.
- Interviewer: What was your strategy for the Mains exam?
Shipra: Do combined preparations for mains and pre-together.
In comparison to the prelims exam, the level of the Mains exam is higher, for the mains exam, conceptual-based questions are asked.
- Interviewer: What was your strategy for the Interview exam?
Shipra: This was my very first job interview. Questions were based on the information I had provided in my biodata.
For the interview, current affairs are crucial.
Study iq covered 70 to 80 percent of my current affairs, which greatly aided the interview.
The interview might be fairly unpredictable, but mine went quite well.
- Interviewer: What message would you like to give to fellow aspirants?
Shipra: Maintain a healthy balance of hard and smart efforts.
The key to success is revision.
If you fail, don’t become discouraged.
