Education: I did my BA in Economics honors from Delhi University (St Stephens College) Masters course from Delhi School of Economics.
While pursuing MPhil from JNU, I wrote my RBI Grade B exam for the first time and succeeded in it.
Currently, I am working at RBI headquarter at Mumbai.
Why did I choose this RBI?
Globally the role of central banking is important for economic development and another important thing in it was research.
I wanted that whatever I have studied till now in economics should be helpful for the common people
Phases of exam :
The exam was conducted in three phases
Phase I examination:
General Awareness and
Objective type paper, online mode examination.
I mark easy questions
2 marks little calculation
4 marks little more calculation
For the phase 1 exam, one should be thorough with its master’s course in economics.
Phase II examination
Phase 2 comprises of Economics and English
Economics: Pen and paper-based exam
First part general economics – 4 questions (Macroeconomics should be focussed more )
Second part Indian Economics– 4 questions asked.
In total, you have to do 5 questions from those 8 questions provided in both the parts.
Questions are mostly asked from topics like the Indian economy, general economics, international economics.
English: computer-based paper, precise writing (big paragraph in the small paragraph ), reading comprehensions and paragraph writing is asked (about economics related subjects)
PHASE 3 is for the interview
Interests were asked.
Indian economy developments broad picture was asked.
